Announcing: A Brand New iOS Course — Create Your Own To Do List App

Alright. If you've been itching to get into the iOS development game, we just released our latest course.

If you've got a killer app that you haven’t quite been able to translate into killer code, or learning Swift and Xcode have been on your to do list for too long, then today's the day to start building.

We just launched our second iOS course for beginners, which brings you a new project to build an iPhone app quickly, effectively, and painlessly.

And it all comes to you courtesy of our resident iOS Jedi Master, the one and only Alfie Hanssen.

What's the Course About?

This new course is the best way to learn how to create outstanding mobile apps, even if you’re totally new to the world of iOS.

Over the course of 30 days, you’ll learn how to build an iPhone app from scratch using Swift and Xcode, all in under 500 lines of code. And it all comes to you courtesy of our resident iOS Jedi Master, the one and only Alfie Hanssen.

We’ve built upon the success of our first iOS Course to bring you a whole new way to start on your road to mobile app superstardom.

But whether you’re a newcomer getting your first crash course or a returning veteran looking to expand your repertoire, you’re guaranteed to get something out of Alfie’s course.

Here’s a sneak peak at the app you’ll be building:

What if I've never even heard of Swift or Xcode?

No worries. Here at One Month, we’re all about learning by doing. That’s why when you take a course on app-building, you’re going to be doing exactly one thing: building apps.

Our curriculum is crafted to get you writing code and running programs as fast as humanly possible. That way, you’ll learn how to work with Swift, Xcode, and the iOS Simulator while you’re assembling your own app and seeing immediate results.

Whoa, that sounds like a lot. Are you sure I'll be able to follow it all?

Never fear. You’re going to have the best guide to shepherd you through this journey, and you are going to learn so much.

What if I've already taken your other iOS course?

Awesome! We heard from a lot of people that they want to keep building, and they want to learn more. You'll build an entirely new app from scratch, learn new tools, and build your repertoire. The best way to become a developer? Build, build, and build again.

If you've already taken our iOS course and built your Vimeo app, you'll get to fly through the first few lessons of introductory material and dig right into building your next app.

Who is this guy, Alfie Hanssen?

Oh, if you haven't met Alfie, you're in for something great. Alfie Hanssen, Director and Engineer at Vimeo’s Mobile and TV Apps Department, is our iOS wizard.

He's part computer engineer, part zen master, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of iOS and a preter-natural ability of boiling even the most complex technical ideas down to simple, jargon-free explanations.

Nobody knows how he does it, and yet nobody does it better.

Okay, now I'm getting excited.

That's not really a question, but it is the correct response to this news.

How can I get started?

If you're currently a One Month student, you can simply select the new course from your dashboard. Otherwise, you can sign up right away — click the big orange button below to get started!
